The third season of The Marlow Murder Club has officially announced its guest stars and plot details, promising an exciting lineup of new mysteries. The popular drama will return in 2026 with six one-hour episodes, showcasing a total of three intriguing murder cases.
Filming for the new season recently concluded, and fans can expect a series of captivating storylines. The first two episodes will feature Peter Davison, famed for his role in Death in Paradise, portraying a character named Geoffrey. He will be joined by a talented cast that includes Nigel Harman from EastEnders as Marcus, Jacqueline Boatswain from Carnival Row as Debbie, Sarah Alexander from Art Detectives as Sophia, Tony Gardner from The Larkins as Terrence, and Jason Merrells from Waterloo Road as Paul.
Returning and New Faces in the Cast
Episodes three and four will welcome the well-known comedian Harry Enfield, recognized for his role in Miss Marple – The Moving Finger, who will play Hector. The concluding episodes will feature renowned guest stars, including Cherie Lunghi from Strike, Adrian Lukis from Joy, and Alastair Mackenzie from The Crown, taking on the roles of Marian, Matthew, and Ferdy, respectively.
The main cast of The Marlow Murder Club remains intact, featuring Samantha Bond as Judith Potts, Jo Martin as Suzie Harris, Cara Horgan as Becks Starling, and Natalie Dew as DI Tanika Malik. Returning characters include Hugh Quarshie as Professor Darius Gifford and Phill Langhorne as DC Brendan Perry, alongside Holli Dempsey as DC Alice Hackett and Tijan Sarr as DC Jason Kennedy.
A Glimpse into the New Season’s Mysteries
The synopsis for the upcoming season highlights the adventures of retired archaeologist Judith Potts, dog walker Suzie Harris, and vicar’s wife Becks Starling. Now integral members of DI Tanika Malik’s crime-solving team, they will tackle a series of high-profile murders. Key cases include the sudden death of the town’s beloved mayor and a celebrity chef found dead during his cookbook launch, both of which will unfold under the scrutiny of the Marlow community.
Additionally, the trio will be involved in a university reunion at an eerie manor house, where a surprising twist places Becks among the suspects. This development raises questions about the amateur sleuths’ roles as civilian advisors.
The new season is a collaboration between co-producer and US broadcaster MASTERPIECE and Monumental Television in partnership with ITV Studios. The series draws inspiration from the novel Queen of Poisons by Robert Thorogood, ensuring a blend of engaging storytelling and compelling characters.
Fans eager to catch up on previous episodes can stream them for free on U and U&DRAMA, as anticipation builds for the return of The Marlow Murder Club in 2026.
