Prince Bishop Vets, a prominent veterinary practice in Leadgate, marks its 39th anniversary this year, having been established in 1984 by Jacqui Molyneux. The clinic has evolved into a highly respected institution, employing a dedicated team of 32 professionals, which includes seven veterinarians, nine registered veterinary nurses (RVNs), two student veterinary nurses (SVNs), and three veterinary care assistants. This skilled workforce is complemented by a proficient administrative and reception team, all committed to providing exceptional care for animals.

At the helm of this thriving practice is Dr. Gillian Brown, who has served as Clinical Director for over 25 years. A graduate of Bristol University, Dr. Brown initially honed her skills at the university before gaining valuable international experience in Australia and New Zealand. Since returning to the UK in 1999, she has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of Prince Bishop Vets.

Another key figure in the practice is Cheryl Marriott, who began her career as a Nursing Assistant at the age of 16. Through dedication and professional development, she has advanced to the position of Head Nurse, where she oversees and supports the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

The practice offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, primarily catering to dogs and cats, but also treating rabbits and guinea pigs. In addition to routine care, Prince Bishop Vets provides emergency services for injured wildlife, collaborating closely with local volunteers and animal shelters. This commitment ensures that these animals receive the necessary rehabilitation and long-term care.

With a focus on excellence and compassion, Prince Bishop Vets remains a cornerstone of veterinary care in the Leadgate community and beyond. The dedication of its staff reflects the practice’s mission to provide the highest level of service to all their patients, fostering a healthy and supportive environment for both pets and their owners.
