Abbey Clancy Craves Date Night with Peter Crouch After Years
Abbey Clancy has expressed a longing for quality time with her husband, Peter Crouch, revealing that the couple has not enjoyed a proper date night in quite some time. The model and former Premier League striker, married for nearly a decade and parents to four children, are struggling to balance their busy careers with family life.
In the latest episode of their podcast, The Therapy Crouch, Clancy shared her desire for a romantic outing, stating, “I really want to go on a date, I want to go to the cinema. We haven’t been on a date in ages.” She playfully suggested that Crouch could treat her to a cinema trip followed by “caviar crumpets,” an unusual snack she recently discovered and praised as “the best things I’ve ever had in my life.”
The couple, who have been together since 2006, often discuss the complexities of marriage and parenting on their podcast. Clancy’s yearning for a date night reflects their ongoing challenge to find time for romance amidst their hectic schedules. Both hosts their own podcasts and maintain busy professional lives, while also managing brand partnerships, including one with FandF.
Crouch, known for his career with clubs like Liverpool and the England national team, responded to Clancy’s suggestion with humor, reminiscing about their simpler cinema snacks in the past. He quipped, “I remember it was a hot dog and nachos at the Odeon.” Clancy seized the moment to tease him further, stating that if he “really loved her,” he would pick up her crumpets while taking their sons, Johnny and Jack, for haircuts.
Reflecting on their nearly two-decade-long relationship, Clancy recalled their first encounter in a pub, which did not start smoothly. During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, she recounted how Crouch managed to irritate her shortly after asking for her phone number by speaking to another woman. “I was like, ‘How dare you?’” she remarked. Despite this rocky beginning, the couple’s relationship flourished, leading to their marriage in 2011.
The family resides in a picturesque estate in Surrey, often described by Clancy as “magical.” The property features a cinema room and extensive grounds, which frequently appear on her social media. Followers have seen glimpses of Crouch working from his home office, decorated with football memorabilia, and the family enjoying the outdoor pool and play area. Reports indicate they moved into the impressive residence in 2016.
As Clancy and Crouch navigate their busy lives, their candid discussions about love and family life offer insight into the realities of maintaining a relationship in the spotlight.
