Drake Confronts Adin Ross Over Leaked Music During Livestream
Drake has taken action following the unauthorized broadcast of unreleased tracks from his upcoming album, Iceman, during a livestream by two crypto streamers known as Bagwork. The duo, who stream on Pump.fun, gained attention for leaking snippets not only from Drake but also from other prominent artists such as Future and Lil Uzi Vert. Their channel experienced a significant boost in popularity after airing what appeared to be a full-length track from Drake’s highly anticipated album.
During the livestream, one of the Bagwork members jokingly stated, “Guys, we’ve got to get Drake p*ssed,” as the leaked track played in the background. The incident escalated when Drake reached out to fellow streamer Adin Ross while Ross was live on Kick. The conversation quickly turned confrontational as Drake expressed his confusion over the identity of those responsible for the leak.
Drake’s frustration was clear in his remarks: “I don’t even know who the f**k those kids are,” he said, addressing Ross. The exchange revealed a tension between the artists and the streamers, with Drake seeking clarity on the situation while Ross insisted he had no involvement with the leak.
In a follow-up, the Bagwork members claimed that Ross had sought information on how they obtained the leaked track. They encouraged their audience to engage with Ross’s next broadcast, indicating a playful rivalry. “Adin Ross was trying to find out how we got the Drake leak,” one of them stated, adding that they would disclose the information during a stream.
Despite the chaos, the Bagwork members downplayed any potential backlash from Drake. When asked if they were in trouble over the incident, they responded, “Yeah. Kind of. [Drake] wants to know where we got it, but he’s not mad at us.” This suggests that while Drake is clearly upset about the breach, he may not be directing his anger at the streamers themselves.
The situation is further complicated by speculation from fans, some of whom believe that Drake may have intentionally leaked the music to generate buzz around his upcoming album. However, there has been no confirmation regarding the authenticity of these claims.
As the incident continues to unfold, the broader implications for both the artists and the streaming community remain uncertain. The intersection of music and streaming has created a complex landscape where unauthorized sharing can impact the careers of artists and the dynamics of online content creators.
For now, it appears that Drake’s next steps remain unclear, as he navigates the fallout from this unexpected leak. The incident highlights the ongoing challenges artists face in protecting their unreleased work in an increasingly interconnected digital world.
