Vicky Pattison Faces Pressure Before Strictly Come Dancing Debut
Vicky Pattison has opened up about her emotional struggles as she prepares for her debut on Strictly Come Dancing. The television personality revealed during a recent episode of her podcast, Get A Grip, that she experienced a “mini-breakdown” due to an “unrelenting” schedule ahead of the show’s upcoming series.
In a candid conversation with co-host Angela Scanlon, who is also a former participant on the BBC program, Pattison described feeling overwhelmed. She shared that after returning from a family holiday, she found herself in a “haze.” This prompted her to seek therapy once again, as she asserted, “All this can’t go on.” The emotional toll has made it difficult for her to maintain a facade of happiness.
Pattison has been candid about her mental health, noting that she had a particularly intense week leading up to the show. She mentioned that she cried for three hours straight while receiving guidance from the Speakmans, therapists known for their appearances on ITV’s This Morning. With less than four weeks remaining until the first live show, Pattison’s physical and mental well-being is under scrutiny as she undergoes rigorous training.
Strictly Come Dancing Lineup and Training Challenges
The upcoming 23rd series of Strictly Come Dancing features an impressive lineup of celebrity contestants, including Dani Dyer, former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Good Morning Britain’s Ross King, and Neighbours star Stefan Dennis. Renowned presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will return to guide the audience through the competition, while the judging panel remains a fan favorite, featuring Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke.
Pattison’s journey in the competition has not been without its challenges. Reports indicate that she suffered from pain following a training session, raising concerns about her ability to keep pace with the demanding schedule. Despite these challenges, she remains enthusiastic about her participation.
In a recent post on Instagram, Pattison expressed her excitement over discovering her dance partner’s identity. She shared her joy, stating, “THE HAPPIEST LITTLE EGG BECAUSE I HAVE FINALLY GOT A DANCE PARTNER.” While she could not disclose the name due to BBC regulations, her excitement was palpable as she urged her followers to stay tuned for the reveal.
Fans have rallied around Vicky, with comments expressing enthusiasm for her participation. One follower noted they were “counting down the days,” while another playfully called her a “tease” but admitted they were “buzzing” for her performance.
As the premiere date approaches, the pressure is mounting for Pattison, but she seems determined to navigate the challenges ahead. Her openness about her mental health struggles highlights the importance of self-care, especially in the high-stakes environment of reality television. With her dedication and support from fans, Pattison aims to shine on the dance floor while prioritizing her well-being.
