Wingstop, the popular chicken wing chain, has announced the opening date for its first restaurant in Northern Ireland. The new location will open on March 9, 2024, just off the Boucher Road in South Belfast. This marks a significant expansion for the brand, which has nearly 3,000 locations worldwide since its inception in Texas in 1994.

The restaurant will occupy a newly renovated unit in Boucher Place, a site that has been vacant since the closure of Frankie & Benny’s due to its restructuring. With this new establishment, Wingstop joins other well-known fast food chains like Nando’s and Slim Chickens in the Boucher area. It is also located adjacent to the recently opened Sugar Rays restaurant, creating a vibrant food scene in the vicinity.

Wingstop’s menu is renowned for its buffalo wings and fries, and the company prides itself on elevating the wing experience by “saucing and tossing the freshest flavours.” This new Belfast location follows the successful launch of Wingstop’s first Irish restaurant in Dublin‘s Liffey Valley Shopping Centre last year.

Looking ahead, the company has ambitious plans for growth in Ireland, aiming to establish 20 sites across the island within the next seven years. The introduction of Wingstop in Northern Ireland reflects the brand’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the region and catering to the growing demand for its signature offerings.

As food enthusiasts and locals eagerly anticipate the opening, Wingstop’s arrival is sure to add a new dimension to the Belfast dining landscape.
