Beverley Irving celebrated her wedding at the popular location on March 2, 2024, only to learn that the hotel would cease operations on March 4, 2024.

Beverley expressed her shock and sadness over the news, describing her wedding experience as “lovely.” She praised the staff, particularly Gemma, stating, “You were attentive and thoughtful and you made it perfect.” The attentive service from the bar staff, domestic team, and DJ contributed to a memorable day for the couple.

Slater’s Country Hotel & Inn has served as a cherished wedding venue for decades, hosting numerous couples throughout its history. Despite the closure, Slaters Club Limited, the entity managing the hotel, remains listed as “active” on Companies House. Their latest financial accounts, published in 2024, indicated that the company employed a total of 60 people.
