According to Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue, emergency crews were dispatched to Hill Rise after receiving a call reporting the fire. A spokesperson for the fire service stated, “We were called at 15:24 to a fire on Hill Rise in St Ives. A crew from Huntingdon attended. Firefighters arrived to find a tree stump on fire in a wooded area. They used hose reels to extinguish the fire before returning to their station. The cause of the fire was accidental.”
