Trump Addresses Epstein Allegations Following DOJ Document Release

President Donald Trump has publicly responded to allegations stemming from recently released documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) published over 3.5 million documents under the Epstein Transparency Act, following significant public and congressional pressure. This release occurred after a deadline for disclosure on December 19, 2022, was missed.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche clarified that the White House had no involvement in the release and emphasized that no evidence of criminal conduct by Trump was found in the documents. He also noted that Epstein had never accused the president of any illegal behavior, even in private communications.

Allegations and Unverified Claims

The newly disclosed documents include several disturbing and unverified complaints submitted to the FBI. One allegation involves a woman claiming she was aged 13 or 14 when she was forced to perform sexual acts on Trump in New Jersey over three decades ago. According to her account, she bit Trump during the incident and was allegedly struck in the face after laughing, as reported by The Mirror.

Another complaint alleges Trump’s involvement in a sex trafficking operation, claiming he was present during the murder of a newborn child and paid for sexual acts. The FBI has reportedly been unable to reestablish contact with this individual for further investigation.

Additional complaints suggest that Trump hosted “calendar girls” parties at his Mar-a-Lago estate, where children were allegedly brought by Epstein and “auctioned off.” These claims assert that high-profile figures, including Elon Musk and Trump’s children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, attended these events.

The complaints also include a witness account alleging the operation of a sex trafficking ring at Trump’s Rancho Palos Verdes golf course in the mid-1990s, purportedly run by Ghislaine Maxwell. The complainant claimed that Trump’s head of security threatened them into silence.

Official Denials from the DOJ and White House

The DOJ responded to these allegations, stating that many of the claims are “untrue and sensationalist” and were submitted right before the 2020 election. The department emphasized that if any of the claims had been credible, they would have been used against Trump during his campaign. This statement was also echoed by the White House.

In a notable incident, a file referencing the sexual abuse claim was temporarily removed from the DOJ website due to server overload but has since been restored.

On October 7, 2023, while aboard Air Force One en route to Florida, Trump addressed the allegations for the first time. He stated, “I didn’t see it myself, but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left.”

Trump has consistently denied any criminal behavior related to Epstein. While he acknowledged a social acquaintance with Epstein, he described their relationship as having deteriorated, claiming they had not spoken for 15 years prior to Epstein’s death.

The DOJ documents also include flight logs showing Trump on Epstein’s private jet between 1993 and 1997. However, being mentioned in the documents does not imply any wrongdoing. As of now, Trump has not faced any charges related to Epstein, and there are no ongoing investigations against him according to current records.
