Montenegro’s Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Stability with UAE and Oman
Montenegro’s Foreign Minister, Ervin Ibrahimović, engaged in critical discussions with his counterparts from the United Arab Emirates and Oman regarding the escalating security situation in the Middle East. During separate phone calls with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Ibrahimović exchanged views on recent developments and their implications for regional stability.
Ibrahimović emphasized that Montenegro is closely monitoring the aftermath of the Israeli and American operations in Iran, which have contributed to the recent regional tensions. He expressed solidarity with nations affected by these attacks, condemning violations of their sovereignty and territorial integrity. The minister underscored the urgent need to de-escalate tensions and prevent further actions that could jeopardize regional stability.
Montenegro supports all efforts aimed at protecting civilians and critical infrastructure, as well as the sovereignty of states in the region. “It is crucial that all parties act responsibly and exercise restraint,” Ibrahimović remarked. He highlighted the importance of enhancing diplomatic efforts to restore security and stability in the Middle East, which remains vital for broader regional and global security.
In this context, Ibrahimović reaffirmed Montenegro’s commitment as a dedicated Euro-Atlantic ally to support credible international efforts focused on de-escalation, dialogue, and long-term stability. His discussions with officials from the UAE and Oman reflected a mutual commitment to preserving stability and reducing tensions in the region.
Both UAE and Oman officials expressed gratitude for Montenegro’s support and reaffirmed their countries’ dedication to maintaining stability and addressing regional tensions. They also indicated their readiness to provide assistance to Montenegrin citizens if necessary.
