Royal Theatre and City Theatre Collaborate on “Kjara Zorzi”

The Royal Theatre Zetski dom from Cetinje and the City Theatre from Budva have officially announced their collaboration on the upcoming production of “Kjara Zorzi.” The agreement was signed by Luka Radović, Director of the Royal Theatre Zetski dom, and Ivana Lazović, acting Director of the City Theatre. This partnership marks a significant step for both cultural institutions, emphasizing their commitment to enhancing local theatrical productions.

“Kjara Zorzi,” written by Ljubomir Đurković, is a drama that explores the presumed beginnings of theatrical life in Budva. The play is set to be directed by Ana Vukotić and will be performed at the historic location “Between the Churches” in the Old Town of Budva. This project aims to solidify the dedication of both the City Theatre and the Royal Theatre Zetski dom towards promoting domestic dramatic creativity and providing stronger institutional support.

The premiere of “Kjara Zorzi” is scheduled for July 23, 2024, as part of the 40th Grad teatar festival. Following its debut, the play will also be showcased at the Royal Theatre Zetski dom at the end of September 2024. This collaboration not only highlights the artistic potential of both institutions but also enhances the cultural landscape of the region.
