M4 Motorway Accident Causes Lane Closures and Delays
A traffic incident on the M4 Motorway in Greater London has resulted in the closure of two of its three lanes, causing significant delays for motorists. The collision occurred late on February 12, 2024, between junctions J2 (Brentford/Ealing) and J3 (Feltham). Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and assist those involved.
As a result of the accident, National Highways has reported that drivers can expect delays of at least 30 minutes above normal travel times in the affected area. In a message posted on social media platform X, they advised motorists to “allow extra journey time” if they plan to travel through this region.
The incident has led to a considerable buildup of traffic, with long queues forming as vehicles navigate the remaining open lane. Authorities are working to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow as quickly as possible.
