Police Charge Individual After Seizing Explosives and Firearms

Police in Berane have filed a criminal complaint against an individual identified as R.A. for allegedly possessing illegal firearms and explosive materials. The Police Administration announced that the action stemmed from a search operation that uncovered significant quantities of explosives and weaponry.

During the search, officers discovered over half a kilogram of explosives, a Crvena Zastava M70 pistol of 7.65mm caliber, along with 16 rounds of various types and calibers of ammunition, and three magazines for the firearm. This seizure raises serious concerns about illegal arms possession in the region.

Authorities from the Regional Centre for Security “North” emphasized their commitment to combating illegal weapons possession. They confirmed that they will intensify monitoring and operational activities to detect and reduce the presence of firearms held unlawfully.
