Tivat Employee Accused of Misappropriating €3,600 in Gambling Losses

Authorities in Tivat have reported that an employee of a local sports betting company is under investigation for allegedly misappropriating funds exceeding €3,600. The incident was brought to light by the company’s manager, who informed officials at the Regional Centre for Security “South” about the employee’s irresponsible handling of the financial resources entrusted to her.

The employee, identified as A.K., was summoned to the police headquarters where she provided a statement regarding the incident. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kotor, which has classified the situation as a case of abuse of position in business to the detriment of the mentioned sports betting establishment.

According to the police, a criminal complaint against A.K. was filed following the directive of the acting public prosecutor, and the matter will proceed through the standard legal process.

In a separate incident, local authorities also received a report from an employee at a retail outlet specializing in technical equipment and mobile phones. This report indicated that a mobile phone worth approximately €1,000 had been stolen from the store.

The Tivat police launched an investigation and identified a suspect, A.D., a 35-year-old individual known to law enforcement. Officers managed to collect a statement from him regarding the theft during questioning at the police department.

As a result of the investigation, A.D. was detained on charges of theft, following the guidelines provided by the public prosecutor’s office. He has been brought in for further proceedings in accordance with legal protocols.

These incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding financial integrity and security in local businesses, prompting law enforcement to intensify their efforts in addressing such issues within the community.
