Epson and Vivi Launch Integrated Solutions for Educational Settings
Epson has announced a new partnership with Vivi aimed at enhancing wireless screen mirroring in educational environments. This collaboration seeks to deliver an integrated solution tailored for students aged five to 18, enabling teachers to move freely around the classroom while facilitating interactive learning experiences.
The solution allows students to share content, capture screenshots of the teacher’s display, and collaborate through annotations. By adopting a flexible, operating system-agnostic platform, this scalable technology also streamlines IT administration within schools.
Transforming Classrooms into Collaborative Hubs
In addition to classroom applications, Vivi’s technology transforms Epson projectors into dynamic communication hubs. This functionality supports announcements, emergency alerts, and digital signage across campuses. One of the initial implementations of this partnership took place in Grand Rapids Public Schools in Michigan, where Epson installed short-throw projectors and wired document cameras in 23 classrooms. Following a successful evaluation, the district decided to expand the rollout to include 1,200 Vivi units throughout its facilities.
Vivi’s chief executive, Natalie Mactier, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Vivi and Epson share a similar mission to make teaching more impactful, and learning more immersive.” She highlighted that the combination of Vivi’s screen mirroring solution and Epson’s vibrant projection technology enables schools to modernize instruction easily, without adding complexity.
Remi Del Mar, group product manager at Epson America, emphasized the benefits of this partnership, noting, “With Vivi’s intuitive interface and Epson’s vibrant projection technology, classrooms become collaborative, connected, and ready for the future.” He added that the goal is to empower teachers to share content effortlessly, adapt lessons on the fly, and engage students effectively.
As educational institutions continue to seek innovative ways to enhance learning experiences, this partnership between Epson and Vivi represents a significant step towards modernizing classroom environments. The integration of these technologies stands to benefit not only educators but also students, equipping them with the tools necessary for collaborative and interactive learning.
