Ryobi Launches Versatile 18V Power Source for Enhanced Portability
Ryobi has unveiled its latest innovation, the 18V One+ 150W power source, designed to enhance the practicality of its existing 18V tool batteries. This new gadget features a range of output options, including a 30W USB-C port, an 18W USB-A port, and a 120V AC outlet, making it suitable for powering small devices while on the go.
This product enables users to leverage their 18V batteries for more than just traditional tools. According to Ryobi, a fully charged 4Ah battery can recharge a smartphone up to three times, providing significant utility for outdoor enthusiasts and DIYers alike. Like many of Ryobi’s offerings, this power source comes with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, ensuring reliability for consumers.
New Product Lineup Ahead of 2026
The 150W power source is part of a broader range of products set to launch in 2026 that cater to users who appreciate more than just power tools. This initiative reflects Ryobi’s commitment to expanding its portfolio with innovative gadgets that enhance the functionality of its battery technology. Fans of both the 18V and 40V cordless lines can look forward to these exciting new releases.
Currently, Ryobi has not released pricing details for this latest power source. However, by examining the prices of existing models, consumers can anticipate a competitive cost. For instance, the existing 18V One+ lithium-ion portable power source, available exclusively at Home Depot, is priced at $34.97. This model includes two USB-A ports, which provide outputs of 2.1 A and 1 A, respectively. Similar to the new release, it is sold as a standalone tool without a charger or battery and is also backed by a three-year warranty.
Another option for those seeking versatility is the current-generation 150W 18V One+ power source, which retails for $49 at Home Depot. This device offers a 120V AC outlet and two USB-A ports but lacks the newer USB-C port. Given the increasing prevalence and convenience of USB-C technology, many consumers may find it worthwhile to wait for the upcoming model.
Despite the similarities in capabilities, the expectation is that the new power source will be priced comparably to the current $49 model. While the exact pricing remains unconfirmed, Ryobi’s commitment to providing value through its products is evident as it prepares for the launch.
In summary, Ryobi’s 18V One+ 150W power source signifies a step forward in making battery technology more versatile and user-friendly. With a variety of charging options and the convenience of portability, this gadget is poised to appeal to a wide range of customers, from homeowners to outdoor adventurers.
