Brooklyn Beckham Responds to Family Feud with Social Media Move
Brooklyn Beckham has taken a public stance against his family by blocking them on Instagram, reflecting ongoing tensions within the Beckham household. The 26-year-old aspiring chef shared a video on his TikTok account, which features the lyrics “sorry I cannot hear you I’m kinda busy” from Lady Gaga’s song “Telephone.” This post has raised eyebrows as it follows comments from his brother, Cruz Beckham, regarding the family’s social media interactions.
This development comes shortly before Christmas, a time typically associated with family gatherings. Brooklyn Beckham will not be joining his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, or his younger siblings, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, for the festive holiday. Instead, he is expected to celebrate with his wife, Nicola Peltz, and her family in Miami, Florida.
Sources close to David and Victoria Beckham have stated that they would never unfollow their son, despite Brooklyn’s decision to block them. “David and Victoria will always love Brooklyn,” a source revealed. “They are devastated at this fallout and have not spoken to him for months.” The source indicated that blocking the family appears to signify Brooklyn’s complete estrangement from them.
Cruz Beckham, aged 20, recently addressed the situation in an Instagram Story, clarifying that their parents had not unfollowed Brooklyn but were instead blocked. “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son,” Cruz stated. “They woke up blocked… as did I.” This remark underscores the growing divide within the family.
Christmas Plans Highlight Family Rift
Brooklyn Beckham’s choice to spend Christmas away from his family further emphasizes the ongoing rift. He and Nicola Peltz arrived in Miami earlier this week and are reportedly looking forward to celebrating the holidays with her parents, who are excited to host them. This decision comes after Brooklyn did not attend any of David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations in May and also failed to acknowledge his father’s recent knighthood.
The Beckham family’s attempts at reconciliation have been apparent, with David Beckham sharing nostalgic photographs of family moments on social media. Despite this, Brooklyn’s absence from the family’s Christmas celebrations, which will take place at their £10 million home in the Cotswolds, is a significant blow. Friends have expressed concern for David and Victoria’s mothers, who are particularly affected by the estrangement.
Victoria Beckham recently shared a festive photo from her parents’ home, featuring stockings hung for each grandchild, including one reserved for Brooklyn. This gesture is seen by some as a hopeful sign that the family might reconcile, despite the current tensions.
The ongoing feud has taken a toll on both Brooklyn and his family, as they continue to navigate their strained relationships during a season traditionally filled with togetherness. As the Beckhams celebrate apart, the public will be watching closely for any signs of reconciliation or further estrangement in the future.
