Claire Tomlinson Bids Farewell to Sky Sports After 27 Years

In her farewell message on platform X, she wrote: “My last shift on Sky! 27 years later, it’s time to say goodbye… Merry Christmas!” Her announcement was met with an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues alike.
Colleagues Celebrate Tomlinson’s Contributions
Former colleagues took to social media to share their admiration for Tomlinson’s work. Jeff Stelling, who hosted Sky’s Soccer Saturday for nearly 30 years, praised her, saying, “You have been amazing Clare. Was a pleasure working with you /watching you for so long.”
Current Sky Sports presenter Mark McAdam referred to her as “one of the originals and true pioneers” of sports broadcasting. Mike Cattermole, a horse racing journalist, commended her consistency, stating, “Clare, well done, you have been consistently brilliant!”
Hugh Woozencroft, host of ITV Sport and TalkSport, added, “Absolute legend who helped inspire a whole generation of broadcasters! You have been incredible every step of the way! Best of luck with what’s next!” Former Sky Sports News reporter Alan Myers also expressed his best wishes, calling her “one of the very best” and highlighting her professionalism throughout her career.
