TECNO Launches CAMON 50 Series with Advanced AI Features
TECNO has unveiled its new flagship smartphone series, the CAMON 50, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026. This ambitious lineup includes the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G, CAMON 50 Pro, and CAMON 50, each designed to provide advanced imaging solutions with over 50 AI features for photography enthusiasts seeking high-quality performance.
The highlight of the series, the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G, features a segment-leading 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C Ultra Night Camera. This camera is engineered to deliver exceptional clarity in low-light conditions, making it ideal for capturing moments in challenging environments. Additionally, the Ultra 5G model includes a dedicated 50MP 3X Telephoto Camera, providing the iconic 70mm portrait focal length, which enhances close-up photography and action shots with its AI 60X SuperZoom capability.
Innovative AI Technology Enhances User Experience
The AI RAW 2.0 imaging engine acts as the core processing unit for the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G, ensuring precision in light management and detail capture. TECNO’s innovative features include Super-Zoom FlashSnap, which merges rapid action capture with telephoto capabilities, allowing users to freeze moments with accuracy. The introduction of the AI Auto Zoom feature simplifies the photo-editing process by intelligently cropping images for optimal composition.
The CAMON 50 Ultra 5G has secured a remarkable DXOMARK overall camera score of 146, recognized as the highest for smartphones priced under $600. It also achieved a portrait score of 142, further establishing its status in the competitive smartphone market. Frédérique Guichard, CEO of DXOMARK, praised the device, stating, “TECNO’s proprietary Universal Tone technology confirms a bright and engaging image style that closely matches how users naturally see the scene.”
Everyday AI Features for Enhanced Creativity
TECNO aims to position AI as an empowering tool rather than a complication. The CAMON 50 Series introduces the AI Art Gallery, allowing users to transform ordinary photos into artistic masterpieces through a variety of styles inspired by global art. Additional features such as the AI Image-to-Video Generator and Live Photo enable users to add dynamic elements to their images, enhancing the storytelling aspect of their photography.
The series includes more than just imaging capabilities; it integrates AI into daily tasks. The AI Key provides users with tools for research and social media management, while the upgraded AI assistant, Ella, serves as a personal tutor and problem-solving companion. This comprehensive approach aims to offer enhanced productivity and creativity.
The CAMON 50 Series also leverages the OneLeap platform, ensuring seamless connectivity with TECNO laptops and MEGAPADs. This feature allows for smooth phone mirroring, keyboard and mouse sharing, and cross-device copy and paste functionality, making it suitable for a high-efficiency work environment.
Built for security and durability, the CAMON 50 Series features the new TGuard security ecosystem, which includes off-grid search technology. This feature enables users to locate their device even without a SIM card or when the battery is completely depleted.
The flagship model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor and showcases a 1.5K 144Hz Ultra-bright AMOLED display for smooth visuals. With an IP68/IP69/IP69K rating for dust and water resistance, alongside a robust 6500mAh battery capable of 45W Super Charge, the CAMON 50 Series is designed for longevity and reliability.
Jack Guo, General Manager of TECNO, emphasized the brand’s commitment to user experience, stating, “The AI isn’t just for show; it’s there to help, whether that’s by remembering important information for you or giving your photos a creative twist.”
As TECNO continues to innovate, the CAMON 50 Series positions itself as a strong contender in the smartphone market, appealing to both photography enthusiasts and everyday users alike.
