Inter Milan Poised to Reclaim Stankovic Amid Arsenal, Man Utd Interest
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed significant developments regarding the future of defensive midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic, who is currently with Club Brugge. Stankovic, highly regarded for his potential, has attracted attention from both Arsenal and Manchester United, but recent updates suggest that Inter Milan is taking decisive steps to secure his return.
According to Romano, Inter Milan is actively planning to activate a buy-back clause for Stankovic, which is set at €23 million this summer. This clause allows the Serie A club to reclaim the player they previously sold, indicating a strong desire to reintegrate him into their squad ahead of the upcoming transfer window in June 2026. The buy-back option is also extended to €25 million for June 2027, but Inter appears focused on bringing him back this year.
Romano shared this information via his official account on X, stating: “Inter have already started planning for Aleksandar Stankovic’s buy-back clause ahead of June.” This announcement poses a potential setback for Arsenal and Manchester United, both of whom have shown interest in acquiring the 20-year-old midfielder.
Stankovic has drawn comparisons to Declan Rice, a player who has made a significant impact in the Premier League. The links to Arsenal are particularly intriguing, as the club may see Stankovic as a valuable addition to their midfield, providing opportunities for growth under their current star players.
While Stankovic did not have many opportunities to showcase his talents during his earlier stint with Inter, the club’s proactive approach in securing a buy-back clause indicates their confidence in his abilities. If they do not exercise the buy-back option this summer, the flexibility of the clause allows them another chance in the following year.
As a promising young talent, Stankovic’s future remains a topic of interest not only for fans of Arsenal and Manchester United but also for football enthusiasts across Europe. His development at Club Brugge, combined with the attention from top clubs, suggests that he will be a player to watch in the coming seasons.
With interest from major clubs and a clear path back to Inter Milan, the next steps for Stankovic will undoubtedly be closely monitored as the summer transfer window approaches.
